The H2O Raman Ultraviolet Sounder (HORUS) lidars enable the simultaneous measurement of the water vapor mixing ratio (WVMR) and the optical properties of aerosols. These lidars, installed in watertight, climate-controlled enclosures, are easily deployable in the field and can withstand all types of weather conditions. Currently, two versions of these lidars exist.
